Resources for Fasting, Honestly
The companion page for the book — and for its shorter sibling, Starving After Breakfast, too. Nothing here is necessary; both books are about not needing products. What follows is what I actually use, and links to the papers, which cost nothing.
Fasting, Honestly is coming soon. Its shorter sibling, Starving After Breakfast, is out now on Amazon.

What I actually use
Kept short and unenthusiastic on purpose. There is nothing here you need to buy to do a single thing in either book. Every link below is an affiliate link.
- Salt. Ordinary salt is all you need; there is no version of this that requires a branded electrolyte powder, and the books say so. The one I happen to use is Celtic fine-ground sea salt. The one I use (paid link)
- A glucose or ketone meter, if you want to watch your own curves. Optional and unnecessary. See one on Amazon (paid link)
- A kitchen scale, and tea. See on Amazon (paid link)
- The books and papers that taught me most — listed on the references page.
The books
Fasting, Honestly — what fasting actually does to your body and mind, and where the science runs out. Every study cited in full. Coming soon.
Starving After Breakfast — why morning hunger disappears when you stop feeding it, and comes back the moment you do. Short. On Amazon
